During the Wednesday and Thursday of the last
week of term the L6th all took part in "Team Challenge
2009".
The course was designed to focus on individuals
strengths and weaknesses and how they might relate to
the world outside of St Edward's. It's objectives were
to promote awareness of the importance of teamwork in
everyday life and in business, to provide experience of
the challenge of teamwork and to develop effective
self-management - such as time-management,
communication, problem solving and leadership.
On the Wednesday the course participants took part in
various motivation and team building exercises, as well
as improving their presentation skills, whilst on the
Thursday they scripted and directed videos which were
later replayed to all the teams.
In order to encourage positive but friendly
competition between the teams, edible prizes were
awarded to those teams which performed most successfully
in each of the main individual challenges.
