The major sports for boys are Rugby, Hockey,
Rowing and Cricket. St Edward’s competes in a strong,
competitive fixture list across all three terms. A
number of pupils have represented county, regional and
national teams in various sports.
Sport in the
6th form is compulsory. Those wishing to pursue the
major sports continue competing in the many
representative teams. The sixth form option programme
enables some boys to take part in a more leisure based
approach to sport covering activities such as swimming,
sailing and health-related exercise.
