We are always pleased to arrange visits for prospective
parents.
An individual visit to the school would involve
a tour of the school with a pupil, meeting a Housemaster
or Housemistress, looking round a boarding house and
then half a hour spent with The Warden. Individual visits
can normally be arranged on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
mornings during term time.
Mini Open Mornings take place on Thursday and
Saturday mornings during term time. Up to twelve sets
of parents and children attend these mornings which
run from 10am until 12pm. You will have your own tour
of the school and then visit a house and meet a Housemaster
or Housemistress. At the end of the morning everyone
meets for coffee with The Warden.
Open Mornings: we have two Open Mornings each
year. One is in May and is for those looking for entry
at 13+. The other is in September for those interested
in 6th Form entry.
Q: Should I bring my child along when I come to
visit?
A: Some parents will visit a few schools on
their own before narrowing the choice down and bringing
the child for a second visit. Other parents involve
their child in the process from the start. If you are
looking for a place at 13+ less than two years ahead
of entry then we would suggest you bring your child
on the first visit. We would also suggest that those
looking for 6th Form bring their son or daughter with
them.
We are always happy to welcome the whole family for a
visit.
