There are 11 Houses at St Edward's - six on the Quad side
of the School and five on the Field side. Each has its
own "feel".
Life at St Edward's - The Houses:
Houses have between 55 and 65 boys or girls, cared
for by the Housemaster or Housemistress, four or five
house tutors, and a house nurse. House tutors are members
of the teaching staff with pastoral responsibilities within
the House.
Each of the Houses has a balanced mix of boarders and
day pupils. The school aims to ensure that both day pupils
and boarders have a full input into the community of the
School. With more boarders than day pupils the basic organisation
of the School revolves around the full program that we
provide for the boarding community. For day pupils this
gives opportunities not available at day schools for a
wide variety of activities. |
