March 2010:
Congratulations go to Miles Hammond of Kendall House
(Christchurch Cathedral School), who has been asked to
train with the full Gloucestershire squad at Bath
Cricket Club on Monday 22nd March as part of
Gloucestershire’s pre-season preparations.
This
is particularly striking as Miles, an off-spinner and
dashing batsman, is still in his Shell year here at St
Edward’s.
Miles has also been invited to attend the ECB
Elite Spin Bowlers’ weekend at Loughborough University.
This weekend will be run by former Essex and England
off-spinner Peter Such and former Australia leg-break
bowler and international coach Terry Jenner. A place is
offered to one player from each First Class county in
the U11 to U19 age groups.
February 2010:
Over the February half-term, Ruairi Willis (Dragon)
trained within the full Irish U15 Cricket squad of
seventeen boys.
This summer, in addition to his season here at St
Edward’s, Ruairi will go on to play for his county,
Leinster, and in inter-provincial games ahead of the U15
European Championship in August.
Very many congratulations, Ruairi!
