a) Financial Support in addition to Scholarships and
Awards
All Scholarships and Awards, both for entrants at 13+
(into Year 9), and 16+ (into Year 12) have a maximum value
of 10% of current fees (day or boarding, as appropriate)
with the possibility of a means tested increase of up
to a total of 100% of the fees.
b) Widening Access Bursaries
For candidates who are not of scholarship or award
calibre, but meet our entry requirements, St Edward’s
has financial provision designed to widen access to
the School to enable pupils to come who would not otherwise
do so.
Three such bursaries are currently available each year
– two to entrants at 13+ (into Year 9), and one
to an entrant at 16+ (into Year 12).
These bursaries are subject to a detailed means test
and worth up to 100% fee reduction. The best time to
apply for these bursaries is 24 months before the September
of entry to the School at 13+, and 12 months in advance
of 16+.
13+ applications will be processed in the March (18
months prior to entry), and 16+ applications in the
October (11 months prior to entry).
